Working with local seamstresses in Denmark ensures not only craftsmanship and quality but also a commitment to supporting local production.

Frauen was founded by Emilie Schiøtt – a true creative force and multitalent. Alongside her work as the designer behind Frauen, Emilie is an internationally recognized singer, a photographer for well-known brands such as Wheat and Bundgaard, and the woman behind Byens Lopper – one of Copenhagen's largest flea markets.
Her deep passion for reusing and giving materials new life runs through many parts of her creative work. With a sublime sense of aesthetics and a playful, curious approach, Emilie continues to shape Frauen into a brand that balances bold design with a sustainable mindset.
She is also a mother of two, and her ability to combine artistry, entrepreneurship, and everyday life gives Frauen its very personal touch.

It all began by chance, when Emilie Schiøtt stumbled upon a jacket at a flea market. She refined it into a new design – and that became the beginning of Frauen – a brand creating one-of-a-kind jackets crafted from vintage blankets.
At Frauen, every jacket carries a story. Each piece is reimagined and tailored to honor its past while offering something truly contemporary. Produced in Denmark in collaboration with local seamstresses, the jackets embody a sustainable approach to fashion – transforming existing materials into timeless designs.
